CBS heeft bevestigd dat het zevende seizoen van The Mentalist tevens de laatste zal zijn. In de winterprogrammering vervangen The Mentalist en Undercover Boss de series The good wife, Survivor en The Amazing Race.
Zo start het laatste seizoen van The Mentalist op zondag 30 november. Uiteindelijk eindigt de serie met een twee uur durende finale op 18 februari. Naast The Mentalist keert Undercover Boss terug op 14 december.
