SBS 6 komt met Beat It

In het najaar van 2014 komt SBS 6 met het nieuwe programma Beat It. In Beat It dat gepresenteerd gaat worden door Kim-Lian van der Meij, strijden Jan Smit en Gerard Joling tegen elkaar. Zij gaan in Beat It elke aflevering op zoek naar de beste stem.

Zowel Jan als Gerard hebben in Beat It 3 kandidaten in hun team. Voor de kandidaten die mee doen aan de show is het van belang dat ze een goede stem en vooral een hoop lef hebben. Op het moment dat ze niet goed genoeg zingen dan verlaat hij of zij de studio op een spectaculaire wijze. Maar wanneer een kandidaat erg goed zingt dan kan hij of zij geld winnen.

Uiteindelijk blijft er bij elk jurylid één talent over. In de finale zingen de overgebleven talenten samen met Gerard en of Jan een duet. Hier bepaalt het publiek wie de uiteindelijke winnaar van de show is. Het verliezende talent en jurylid zullen het programma verlaten op een bijzondere manier. Zij moeten de Beat It brug betreden en zullen bestraft worden voor hun slechte prestaties. Zij vliegen het zwembad in, worden gekatapulteerd of afgeschoten naar het plafond.
